Job Description
  • Monitor and improve Throughput, Quality, Yield and Uptime of various units steps in Manufacturing flow
  • Defining optimal manufacturing processes and procedures using proven statistical methods
  • Drive continuous improvement programs for performance improvements
  • Troubleshooting process, hardware and software issues and defining design improvements for the same
  • Training and monitoring production personnel on proper production techniques and policies
  • Improving existing products, new product development and R&D
  • Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by manager
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a highly technical, high-volume industry
  • Specific process engineering experience, including: robust design, process control, quality assurance etc.
  • Proven troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot process and equipment issues based on first principles
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, ANOVA and other statistical tools
  • Basic programming ability (e.g. in JMP, VBA etc.) for automating data analysis
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines on schedule
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to influence others and work within cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Possess a high tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job functions and working hours in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematical (STEM) fields of study
  • M.S. or PhD degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematical (STEM) fields of study is strongly preferred

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • 10+ years of production operations experience, particularly in high volume manufacturing
  • Proven record of innovation (e.g. Patents) in related technical fields
  • Experience in glass coating, semiconductor, disc drive or similar industries
  • Experience in a glass manufacturing or processing industry
  • Knowledge of Sputtering / Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process or Laser material processing
  • Knowledge of Electrochemistry or Electrochromics
