Job Description

This Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 9 (ITPA9) position will serve as an Application Programmer/Analyst to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Environment and Quality (DEQ) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD). This position will support and enhance the agencies' application development needs through the maintenance and modification of existing web based, client server, or mobile applications as well as the development of new web based, client server, or mobile applications. This position will also be tasked with the rewrite of legacy applications and systems. Additional application development support may be assigned as needed to address needs of the DNR, DEQ, and MDARD Application Development section and would encompass testing, implementation, documentation and support.

Leave Time

Full time employees receive between 15 and 35 vacation leave days per year. Deferred Compensation

Employees may invest income in a tax-deferred retirement investment program. The state offers two optional deferred compensation plans, the 457 and 401(k). Employees decide the amount you want deducted from your paycheck.

Retirement

Employees receive a minimum 4% state contribution toward their retirement fund. If an employee elects to contribute more, the state will match that percentage (up to 3%).
