Job Description

Senior Level Analyst for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority's (MSHDA) highly complex in house, COTS and vendor hosted systems with a focus on the customer relationship management (CRM) tools.  Performs duties related to the design, development, enhancement, implementation and maintenance application development.  Serves as a team lead/resource, directing the specification development, providing advice and guidance to other development staff; and assists the project managers with ensuring policies and procedures are followed and scheduled milestones are met by the technical team.  Serves as a technical consultant to MSHDA clients to develop solutions to streamline critical business processes according to MSHDA's strategic plan.  This position is integral to developing and maintaining MSHDA's automated processes, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, and securing MSHDA systems.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11/12
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.

Alternate Education and Experience

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11 - 12
Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

OR

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

Leave Time

Full time employees receive between 15 and 35 vacation leave days per year. Deferred Compensation

Employees may invest income in a tax-deferred retirement investment program. The state offers two optional deferred compensation plans, the 457 and 401(k). Employees decide the amount you want deducted from your paycheck.

Retirement

Employees receive a minimum 4% state contribution toward their retirement fund. If an employee elects to contribute more, the state will match that percentage (up to 3%).
