Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (Per Diem, Days) to work in the Maternal and Fetal Specialty Center at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, ongoing monitoring, education, support, and referral to childbearing families.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for delegation and supervision of personnel, as states above, that participate in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met

  • Function in a very independent and autonomous role

  • Collect pertinent assessment data and work with providers to identify patient’s needs and potential problems.

  • Work in all areas of clinic providing care to high-risk OB patients.

  • Initiate and participate in projects to enhance performance individually and as a department

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • All Registered Nurses without a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing must obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 6 years of hire

  • A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN

  • Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington

  • Current BLS certification

  • Minimum of three years recent experience in two of the following three areas, required: a) antepartum nursing (low and/or high risk), b) labor and delivery, or c) postpartum/newborn nursing

Qualifications:
