VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care
"Being invited into a family's intimate circle during such a tender chapter in their lives is an honor. Hospice work is an opportunity to be helpful that gives me immense satisfaction. Also, I appreciate my co-workers because the compassion they show patients and families, they also show each other. As a hospice nurse, I never feel alone in the field. "Salena Cummins VNSNY Hospice Home Care RN
"The work we do in hospice is incredibly special and rewarding. The support we provide through end-of-life and after, ensures that patients and caregivers have comfort, dignity and quality of life. I came to VNSNY Hospice and Palliative Care as an RN Hospice Liaison, helping families to transition home on hospice and since promoted to my current role as Hospice Team Manager, supervising a team of dedicated clinicians. Each day I go home feeling grateful that my job brings meaning and comfort to our patients. I have found my home at VNSNY Hospice, and the amazing people I work with are like family - I can’t imagine working anywhere else".Sarah Micley VNSNY Hospice Team Manager
