Staff Accountant (19-Month Contract)

As a member of Cimpress Windsor Corporation’s Team you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and duties including assisting with month end close, cash management, general account analyses, reconciliations, fixed asset management and compliance. This position will play a role in the implementation and continuous improvement of internal controls and best practices and will drive to meet Finance Team goals.  The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Controller and Senior Accountant in various administrative tasks (including but not limited to):
    1. Cash management entries
    2. Fixed asset entries
    3. General ledger entries
    4. Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting requirements
  • Assist in the month end close process (including but not limited to):
    1. General ledger entries
    2. Monthly vendor & MRO accruals
    3. Account reconciliations
    4. Reporting schedules as required
  • Assist in the preparation of audit requests and retrieval of necessary data for audit purposes
  • Ad hoc financial analyses as required
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned (such as global projects and initiatives)

Qualifications:

  • Preference given for complete or in-progress accounting designation or a bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 0-2 years of experience in a fast-paced general accounting department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently on time-sensitive tasks
  • Strong organizational and formatting skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and a strong team player
