Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.

Acts in a strategic role in the development and maintenance of architectures for a line of business or infrastructure sub-domain that are in compliance with the Enterprise Architecture. Responsible for working on medium to high architectural impact projects, recommending exceptions to the Enterprise Architecture for high level projects, reviewing and approving medium architectural impact designs, communicating the Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams within their line of business or infrastructure sub-domain (organizational unit) and directing implementation of the architecture for their organizational unit. Serves as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational unit's architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture

Successful candidate(s) will work as a member of the CTO Architecture team in support of the development, maintenance and implementation of strategies related to efficient and effective delivery of capability and services to support the simplification and modernization of the Wells Fargo technology environment that includes API Management, Microservices, Event Based Architecture, Containers, Cloud integration, common services and enablement technologies.  Work will include partnering with stakeholders across the organization in defining use cases, developing patterns, defining integration needs, evaluating technologies, supporting implementation efforts and enabling adoption.



Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture
  • 10 + years of experience supporting or designing high priority enterprise technology solutions
  • 10+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
  • 5+ years of information technology design experience including systems, applications or architecture



Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive technical skills and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of an entire line of business or infrastructure sub-domain
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing, PaaS design principles and micro services and containers
  • Knowledge and understanding of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture)
  • Knowledge and understanding of workflow based technology platform
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
  • Engineering and architecture experience with big data
  • Knowledge and understanding of components such as framework, security or authentication, event driven architecture and tool sets for problem monitoring and solving
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology processes and technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management



Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time



Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $119,000 Mid: $170,000
IA-West Des Moines: Min: $119,000 Mid: $170,000
NC-Charlotte: Min: $119,000 Mid: $170,000
AZ-Chandler: Min: $119,000 Mid: $170,000
MO-Saint Louis: Min: $119,000 Mid: $170,000
