Physician Assistant Full Time

Busy Internal Medicine practice seeking Full-Time Physician Assistant:

Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant program with a valid unrestricted license to practice issued by the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.

Specialized Training, Certifications, and/or Other Special Requirements:
Current license and/or appropriate certification in the state of Arizona to practice as a Physician Assistant and in good standing. Current CPR and First Aid Certifications. Degrees/credits must be from an academically accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good knowledge of medicine as related to medical examination, health history, the development of working diagnoses and other areas as appropriate to the specific service provided. Must be able to provide medical care for adults and adolescents 13 +. Skill in performing appropriate medical procedures as indicated. Ability to collect and record a complete medical history and write a medical plan-of-action. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and homeless patients. Skills in health education and counseling.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Two (2) or more years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a primary care setting or a solid recommendation from the collaborating physician during clinical rotations.. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills. Experience with an Electronic Medical Record.
