- Perform patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel, including procedures, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy
- Record patient care documentation in the medical record
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
- Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
The pace is fast and you’ll need be comfortable managing multiple priorities. You may be required to work in different locations, so scheduling flexibility is essential.
- High School diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school or minimum three (3) years’ experience in the military as a Medical Assistant or equivalent required.
Current CPR certificate OR willingness to obtain it in 30 days
At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
Access to reliable transportation
Prior experience in Adult Medicine, OBGyn, or Pediatrics
Working knowledge of health insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid
More than one year of related experience in a medical setting
Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency
EMR and/or NextGen experience
Primary Care, IM or Urgent Care experience
