Seasonal Shipping and Receiving Associate

Part-time student assistant in the Shipping and Receiving area. Duties include receiving product, posting inventory to the ledger, and making delivery’s. Seasonal staff that complete assignment will receive a bonus at end of assignment.

Responsibilities

Job Performance – Initiate and complete receiving process for retail and non-retail merchandise.
Problem Solving – with the assistance of full time staff resolve inventory discrepancies.
Posting – post inventory to the sub-systems to initiate replenishment and payment processes and to obtain vendor discounts.

Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required

Nearly Continuously: walking, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), sitting.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead, lifting (up to 50 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications

This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills and the ability to pass a security clearance is required. Some positions require a minimum of six months cashiering experience.

Preferences

Working knowledge of computers including e-mail messaging program, Microsoft excel and word. Have good communications (both oral and written) and be able to run a fax machine, 10 key, and copy machine. Be able to lift up to 50 lb on a regular basis.
