What you’ll be doing...

As the Risk Manager you will be responsible for operationalizing the policies, contractual agreements, compliance and security requirements applicable to the Verizon Partner Program (VPP). You will be collaborating with internal partners such as Risk Management, Security, IT, Legal, Internal audit and Sales teams assigned to the VPP. You will be interfacing with external partners and will be responsible for communicating directly to the partners in all aspects related to operational assurance. This role is a high profile role and will require high levels of confidentiality in certain projects.

  • Identify, design and execute appropriate audit procedures and measurements to effectively govern contract compliance of the Verizon Partner Program partners.
  • Conduct audits of Verizon Partners to ensure they are in compliance with VPP’s Compliance policies, contracts and Verizon data security procedures.
  • Manageand auditsystem access, customer complaints, compliance of required training, vetting and background checks.
  • Continuous improvement of VPP policies and audit procedures to incorporate additional business models, partners, and global expansion.
  • Annual review of policies with all relevant stakeholder to ensure applicability.
  • Ensure the completion of audits in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Partners, Internal Audit, Legal, Verizon Program Office and Verizon leadership on compliance issues and status.

Individual would be working in complex and high visibility situations with significant impact to VBG:

  • Compliance manager will conduct statistical relevance analysis to ensure proper audit parameters of the relevant systems used by VPP Partners. In addition, this position will be required to work closely with VPP Legal and VPP Program Office to identify contractual logic to achieve Verizon compliance goals. This may also include instance in which Verizon Internal security/compliance investigations bound by Privilege will apply during and after the investigation.
  • Prepare and conduct bi-monthly LOA audits. This would include selecting a sample size, audit procedures and statistical significance testing of LOA recordings in systems, based on individual partner volume, types of orders and product.
  • Prepare and conduct quarterly system access audits. This would include the identification of users across multiple systems, requesting and receiving back from each partner a completed audit form and the removal of those users no longer requiring systems access.
  • Prepareand launchannual compliance training. This would include the selection of courses, working with learning and development, legal, compliance and course SME.
  • Determine contractual language to ensure enhance data security requirements while managing potential partners costs for compliance and Verizon sales objectives.
  • Work the daily adhoc compliance issues and questions/requests from VPP Partners, VPP Legal, Legal Compliance, PMO and Channel Managers sales and support teams.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of Audit/Compliance experience.
  • Two or more years of indirect sales experience.
  • Experience presenting and advising internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of auditing, compliance programs, contract terms and sales systems.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting and audit principles.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations applicable to business operations.
  • Experience in Microsoft applications including Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel.
