Walker Zanger, Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the team in Houston as they work together to achieve the overall financial success of the branch. The Houston Branch is a sales and distribution giant with a team of 18 dynamic, professional and dedicated teammates specializing in Showroom Sales (inside), Professional Sales (outside), Customer Service and Distribution. Together, the Houston team’s focus is to make the meeting between the Walker Zanger brand and our Clients an unforgettable experience, achieving their goals in the process. The Branch Manager will be the “conductor” of this operation, making sure all of the players work together to create a smooth and effective operation.

The Branch Manager will also collaborate with company leadership to develop and execute the strategy designed to achieve the expected results, while providing leadership and mentoring to their teams in order to promote individual growth and develop exceptional bench strength.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Branch team to develop and execute the Branch’s short, mid and long term strategy
  • Work with team members to help achieve their personal sales goals
  • Responsible for maximizing Branch profitability while achieving sales expectations
  • Effectively manages all store expenses, personnel budgets and other P&L activity
  • Is closely involved and aware of all sales operations within the branch
  • Analyzes key performance indicators and develops a proactive approach to achieving consistently improving results
  • Understands the local and national competitive landscape, is always looking to identify current and prospective sales opportunities and uses market trends to achieve results.
  • Works closely with Marketing Department to develop and execute local marketing strategies

Qualifications

  • Must have sales management experience
  • Be an excellent leader
  • Knowledge of stone and ceramic tile
  • Design background a plus
  • Successful at motivating team members to achieve results

  • Stone and Tile Industry: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Sales Management: 5 years (Preferred)
