The Showroom Sales Support Specialist uses their expert phone, organizational and computer skills to support the sales team in exceeding our daily, monthly and yearly sales goals. The focus for the Showroom Sales Support Specialist is to execute the daily administrative duties that make it possible for the sales team to close more sales and create clients that are satisfied, life-long Walker Zanger advocates. In their role as Showroom Sales Support, the specialist uses their knowledge of product, the existing and potential inventory and, especially our operational processes to maximize sales results. Like every Walker Zanger team member, the Showroom Sales Support Specialist is empowered to nurture and promote our unique company culture and to set the example of living our company’s values on a daily basis.

The Showroom Sales Support Specialist position reports directly to the Branch/Showroom Manager and works hand in hand with the members of the sales and service teams.

  • Sales Support

-Gathers completed CS Forms and enters relevant information into the appropriate Opportunity using P21

-Supports sales efforts through “product search” and communicating availability to the sales associate or

directly to the client

-Receives and responds to inbound calls

-Prepares freight quotes and

-Takes payments and sets up delivery for products sold

-Provides on-going support in terms of client satisfaction, both before the sale and once the client completes their project, as well as the daily paperwork and other non-sales related activities that will help maximize the Sales Associates’ time in selling activities

Inventory and Order Management

-Responsible for a thorough knowledge of the existing inventory, availability and “lead” times

-Ensures existing orders are moving forward toward invoicing according to company guidelines

-Maintains a thorough knowledge of “special” inventory to include “discounted” items in an effort to promote

sales of those items

-Keeps the sales team informed of order status in support of getting to “invoice”
