Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Wholesale Control (WC) organization serves as the front line risk management organization within the Wholesale Banking group of Wells Fargo supporting the Wholesale businesses with risk strategy, implementation, and execution. The Wholesale Control team is accountable to assess and effectively manage risks across all risk types and Wholesale businesses delivering an integrated view of risks, producing a sustainable control environment, and instilling a culture of strong risk management. The team is responsible to identify and assess risks, design and implement controls, and execute and monitor the controls to ensure they are working effectively to manage risk across Wholesale. Wholesale Control interfaces with Independent Risk Management and Audit to drive comprehensive and consistent implementation of regulatory and corporate risk policies and programs across Wholesale.

The Wholesale Control organization is comprised of a series of risk and control teams including: (1) Business Control teams managing risk and controls for each of the Wholesale businesses; (2) Risk Operations teams managing risk-type programs (e.g. regulatory, financial crimes, operational risk, conduct) and associated controls and operations; (3) Governance & Programs teams managing cross-functional risk and controls (e.g. governance and reporting, issue management and review activities, enterprise risk programs, control assurance, etc.) spanning across risk-type programs and Wholesale businesses; (4) Functional teams supporting business enablement and infrastructure (e.g. strategic planning, process excellence, transformation, analytics, reporting and administration).

This Administrative Assistant 4 will report directly to the head of Wholesale Financial Crime Operations and perform a variety of administrative tasks to support one or more senior managers.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Word processing to compose complex and/or confidential correspondence.
  • Balancing general ledger lines and/or expense accounts; assisting with budgetary planning; compiling statistical data for financial planning.
  • Screening and/or selectively referring callers; handling complex and sensitive inquiries/call from external/internal sources.
  • Provides support for larger projects managed by others.
  • Acts as an information source on departmental/business unit policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with both internal and external customers to meet their service needs.
  • Responsible for providing support to the business line staff in the areas of reporting, customer/business documentation.
  • May establish office procedures and controls.
  • May coordinate all special events or office functions.
  • May direct the work of others.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative support experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate processes or projects and compile documentation

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Administrative support experience; supporting senior level executives in banking or financial services
  • Experience supporting a group of multiple team members simultaneously
  • Proficiency in managing multiple complex calendars, meetings, expense reimbursements, travel arrangements and itineraries
  • Proficiency in articulating, communicating professionally and appropriately with confidence at all levels and across functional lines
  • Ability to organize, pay attention to details, set work priorities, adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and utilize good judgment with the initiative and ability to resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as well as demonstrate discretion and diplomacy
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with accuracy and efficiency
  • High level of motivation, demonstrated ability to be proactive and adaptable to change; leads self and others through change
  • Experience creating PowerPoint presentations including charts and graphs

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
