Associate Events Coordinator, Customer Education

The Zendesk Customer Education team is responsible for providing our customers with content and training experiences that encourage adoption and optimization of our products. Whether it’s online training, customized training, or classroom- style live events, our team is always looking for ways to innovate and improve the customer experience.

As the Associate Events Coordinator on the Customer Education team, you should be detail oriented, have a love for logistics, and a passion for customer service. You’ll help plan and execute a robust calendar of global training events that will help to advance our customers’ knowledge of and enthusiasm for Zendesk. We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to assist in growing Zendesk’s live training day events.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Events Manager in project management, including logistics, researching and securing venues and working with vendors (catering, printing, A/V etc.) to ensure excellent event execution and customer experience
  • Coordinate event logistics, timelines and schedules
  • Onsite event coordination duties during events, such as running event setup, running registration, and acting as onsite point of contact for vendors and customer issues
  • Ensuring that events are executed within allocated budget
  • Administration of registration and event management systems
  • Manage queue of event-related customer support tickets
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years work experience in a related function, 1-2 years experience planning events
  • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat individual who connects well with others
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment and able to manage multiple events at once
  • Experience with Salesforce, Eloqua, and Event Management tools a plus.
  • Additional knowledge in the field is considered a plus including pricing, promotions and market research.
  • Up to 50% travel required, domestic and international
