SEC Reporting Analyst
This is a meaningful role within the SEC and technical accounting team, which is responsible for external reporting as well as technical accounting areas and projects

Responsibilities:

  • External Reporting
  • Prepare SEC filings, such as the 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, financial statements, disclosures and maintain support for all amounts
  • Work with members of accounting, legal, investor relations, FP&A and external auditors to address various reporting matters
  • Prepare statement of cash flows
  • Take part in ad hoc projects and respond to information requests

  • Technical Accounting
  • Provide technical support on the treatment of complex accounting issues and compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
  • Review and analyze new accounting pronouncements to resolve impact on Zendesk and, when applicable, assist with implementation of new accounting guidance
  • Review lease contracts and prepare schedules under ASC 842
  • Drive accounting for business acquisitions and minority investments
  • Own accounting for stock-based compensation plans in accordance with ASC 718, including recording, reporting and forecasting of stock-based compensation expense and EPS
  • Prepare hedge accounting journal entries
  • Much more!

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Passed CPA exam
  • SaaS / tech experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
