Next Careers: Jobs, Employment Details & Interview Questions
You have to pay a visit to the Next careers page - careers.next.co.uk or next.co.uk/careers at first if you are going to apply for a job at Next. After your entering, you will see a search box on the upper right side of the page. Click the black arrow and select a job category to go to the second step. Here six major job categories are available including retails stores, head office and other areas, warehouse and distribution, product trainees, parcel courier, and warehouse operatives.
In this step, you are asked to enter postcode, toenail or city in the search bar and click the button accordingly to search for job vacancies at present. This article will take the "Sales and Stockroom" as an example.
Once you finish the second step, a new page will pop up, on which are the list of stores that meets your search requirements. Select a store that you'd like to work at and click the button "view details" to find job opportunities provided by this store.
You are required to choose a position in accordance with your interests and qualifications from the list of current vacancies. Once you make up your mind to apply for it, click the button “Apply Now" to continue.
To further the online application process, you need to fill out your account details to log in. But if you are a new user, you are required to register a new account in this step. Click the "Register Here" and you will be directed to a new page. Follow the instructions and fill out all necessary information to get your account registered.
With your account logged in, you will be rendered a vacancy details page on which all relative information about the position you've chosen are listed, including the job title, location, salary, closing date, standard hours, benefits, and job description. Read these information carefully to see if this job suits you or not and click the button "APPLY ONLINE" to apply for it.
Before this step, you will see a welcome page on which some instructions are explained. Browse this page and click the button "Continue" to fill out your personal details. Type your name, address, phone number, postcode, and email address in the required boxes and click the button "Save and Proceed” to go forward.
As we can see from the picture below, there's a progress bar on the left side of this page, from which we can see clearly where we are in the application process. By then three more steps needs to be finished: your availability, questions and equal opportunities. You are asked to provide your availability at first and click the button "Save and Proceed" to go to answer questions. Here are about 15 questions to test your verbal and numerical ability and 40-odd questions for personality test. Finish them one by one and click "Save and Proceed" to go to the equal opportunities part. As to EEO, you need to provide your gender, age, ethnicity and disability status.
When all the required steps are finished, you need to read the confirmation message and click the button "Submit Application" to submit your online application.
With the nine steps above are done, you've made your online application process completed. You may choose to log out or return to the main careers page to find more job vacancies by clicking the button accordingly. You will soon be contacted once you're proved to be equal to the job.
