RadioShack is an American chain of wireless and electronic stores, providing more than 20,000 electronic products. RadioShack was first founded in 1921 by two brothers, Theodore and Milton Deutschmann. They started their career by opening a store which provided equipment for the then-nascent field of amateur radio in Boston, and the name came from the small, wooden shack holding the the radio equipment. In 1962, the company went through the hardest period of its development during the Tandy Radio Shack & Leather acquisition, and Tandy made big adjustments for Radio Shack. A long time since then, Radio Shack hadn’t been able to shack off the Tandy name until 2000, when the company was started to be regarded as RadioShack Corporation. A year from that, the company bought the former Ripley Arnold public housing complex in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas, where it located its headquarters. In February, 2015, its era in the New York Stock Exchange came to an end, followed by a new chapter under the private ownership of General Wireless Operations, Inc. Labeled as neighborhood electronics store, RadioShack provides high quality items and is contributed to making neighborhood life more colorful and convenient.
