  • Keep calm during the high volume period and unusual events and maintain standard operating, thus to set a positive example to other team member.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs and communicate such information to manager in time to ensure good customer service.
  • Help new partner training and give respectful and encouraging coaching if necessary.
  • Put customers in the first position and deliver good and friendly customer service to all customers. Discover and respond to customer needs.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can find resources and products easily.
  • Provide quality products including beverages, coffee beans and other food products for every customer.
  • Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance

Starbucks Barista Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Keep regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Be able to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Meet the store operating policies and standards, like providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling and store safety.
  • Be willing to engage with and understand customers and have the ability of discovering and responding to customer's needs.
  • Comply with the dress standard. Do not display tattoos, pierce in excess of two per ear, and dye unnatural hair colors, such as blue or pink.
  • Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers.
  • Be able to learn quickly, understand and carry out instructions when needed.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Be capable to work as part of a team and build relationships
