It was founded in the year 1919 as a market stall group by Jack Cohen and earned its name for the first time in 1924. There are six different formats of the Tesco stores operating out of the United Kingdom, namely Tesco Extra, Tesco Superstores, Tesco Metro, Tesco express, and One stop and the Dobbies. There are nearly 2000 outlets in the UK alone requiring extensive work force to have the daily operations running smoothly.
